Partnership with The Babcock & Wilcox Company – B&W
As a relevant factor, starting in 2005, HPB signed with the American company The Babcock & Wilcox Company – B&W – a technology license agreement for the supply of Steam Generators for burning solid, liquid and gaseous fuels, highlighting combustion systems in Fluidized Bed, both Bubbling and Circulating and environmental control systems, Electrostatic Precipitators. This agreement was extended and today comprises the Chemical Recovery Boilers of the Pulp & Paper Sector.

The company HPB Engenharia e Equipamentos Ltda. it was conceived in 1994 and has 100% national capital. Specializing in the design and supply of Integrated Technological Solutions for Steam Generation Systems and Environmental Technology, it is characterized by providing solutions with a high technological content to customers who demand high quality steam for both industrial processes and electricity generation. Characterized by a track record of continuous success with operations throughout Latin America, Africa and Asia, it aims to provide its customers with solutions that include a commitment to excellence, especially with regard to the desired reliability and availability.
